The balls are not of uniform size in every bowl, but among which there would be one much larger than all the others. Before them eat up the balls, Tibetans will drink up the soup first, then eat the largest dough drop later.
There are some special contents in the balls such as stones, wool, chili, charcoal and coins in them. These are the hostesses in the families deliberately put in the balls. According to the local custom, the different contents symbolize different meanings. For instance, wool stands for kindness and he stones stand for cruelness, chili for plausibility and coins for good fortune in the coming New Year. So every one should spit out the objects what they get from the dough. This kind scene will promote the happy atmosphere of New Year and bring the whole family a big laugh.
