Tibet Travel Permit Update on Jul 30th, 2014

The Tibet Tourism Bureau had a meeting this afternoon and officially announced that the Tibet Travel Permit for Mt.Kailash Tours and far western Tibet would reopen from today, so if you are planning to visit Mt.Kailash then it is time to start your tour booking.
The only restriction is age above 70 years are currently banned to travel Kailash region.
FYI: you should book your tour at least 20 days in advance to get the permit on time.
Norwagians are still difficult to get the permit for the time.
