tibet trip

Vivian Kigozi

I want to thank you and your company for making my trip to Tibet very memorable.  I will have a lot of fond memories of my visit.  I want to give a big thank you to Namgyal, my wonderful guide through the 17 days I was there, and Tsering my driver.  Namgyal was very kind, cordial, respectful attentive, and knowledgeable, the perfect fit for my style of traveling.  I am usually nervous about drivers on the windy roads like we encountered but Tsering drove at a reasonable speed and obeyed the laws of the road so I was not nervous during the road trip.  I also want to thank Sherry for answering all my questions in a timely manner and rolling with the punches with all the changes I made.  I thank you all very much.

I do have a couple of suggestions to make.  I do realize and appreciate that giving back to the Tibetan community is one of the goals of your company, however, one of the issues I noted was with some of the Tibetan hotels.  The hotel in Gyantze had black mold in the bathroom so I could not use it.  My suggestion is that since we really don’t know the hotels and trust your company to put us in good hotels, the hotels are inspected routinely so that the black mold does not become an issue.  My other suggestion is to get a new kitchen tent for the cook and guide while camping.  It was distressing for me to realize that the tent and the staff’s belongings/clothes were wet after a night of rain during the hiking portion of my trip.

I wish you all continued health and success.

Thank you again.
