Quba-A Tibetan Farmers' Clothing

Quba is a kind of long white tweed robes, and there are some round collars and its buttons down the right side. The rim of the long white tweed robes are red, yellow and blue corner cross pattern borders, including the collars, cuffs, and bottoms. Tibetans like to make the belt bunch at the waist, and they will put on some items such as wooden bowls, zamba bags, butter boxes in the bunched portion above their waist. Mostly, the length of the robes can reach the knees. Besides, the robe has other functions, such as it can be unfastens by Tibetans as a quilt when they go to sleep.
In summer season, farmers will wear the left sleeve of their quba and they like to casually drape the right sleeve over their shoulder. If the temperature is very high, farmers will fasten both their sleeves around their waist. At night, when the temperature is very high, farmers would like to put on two sleeves. Besides, Tibetan farmers would like to put on their sleeves when they meet distinguished guests or worship Buddha in temples, in this way to show respect.
