Om Mani Padme Hum

Om Mani Padme Hum is the six-syllabled Sanskrit mantra. Padma means. Om, symbolize one’s impure body, speech and mind, but also the pure noble body, speech and mind of a Buddha. Mani means “jewel” or “bead” and symbolizes factors of method, compassion and love. Padme means the Buddhist sacred flower-“the lotus flower”, which symbolizes wisdom. Hum means inseparability and symbolizes purity. Even the translation of the mantra is very hard, but the Dalai Lama said the mantra means one can transform one’s impure body into those of a Buddha with wisdom.
Om Mani Padme Hum is commonly painted and carved on rocks or inserted into prayer wheels by writing on paper. Tibetan people believe that recite the mantra can bring the goodness to them, such as help them against negative Karma, and reach their goal and so on.
