First Ever Tibet International Cultural and Tourism Expo Kicked Off in Lhasa

The first ever China Tibet International Tourism and Cultural Expo was kick off in Lhasa on Sept 25, capital city of Tibet.

The opening and closing ceremony was held in Tibet Hotel which attended by several high officials from the Tibet Autonomous government and some local medias.
The expo was launched in different venues in Lhasa with tourism and culture as the major themes, different cultural performances like Tibetan operas were played in Norbulingka.
A group of tourist photographs, tourist souvenirs, Thangka paintings and Tibetan cultural relics were displayed in Tibet Museum during the expo, hundreds of locals and domestic tourists attended every day, the exhibition is from morning 9am to 5:30pm, available from Sept 25th to Oct 8th.

The emblem of the expo was released at the press conference held on Sept. 10. The emblem is composed of the images of the world famous Mt.Everest and the Potala Palace with Tibet’s iconic blue sky, white cloud and endless grassland.
