Chuba-Tibetan Norm Dress.
Every community have their own traditional dresses so does Tibet has her unique and beautiful dresses. Tibetan still prefers to wear traditional dresses rather than modern short dresses. Traditional dress is still the norm among Tibetan in the countryside. The Tibetan national dress is Chuba,tied around the waist with a sash and worn off the shoulder with great bravado by Nomads and Khampas. Apron is wear by the women who are married and those who are not marry will not wear this apron on their chuba. So make sure that you can make out the difference and meaning of it. Tibetan Women generally wear chuba in their day to day life.They are very much used to the dress and feel very comfortable in Chuba but Tibetan young ladies would prefers to wear western or modern dresses. Tibetan women normally do not show much skin as western women do. They covered very bit of their skin except face and hands. Due to the modernization women in Tibet are much more board minded still majority prefers to cover up themselves. Chuba is a beautiful and decent dress, you will come across many chuba shops in Tibet where you will see women are busy shopping chubas for themselves.
