It gradually becomes a dominant religious force in the plateau.When Buddhism spread to Tibet, for the sake of their own survival and development,priests of the Bon religion and Buddhist monks fought each other. Therefore,Bon was forced to absorb contents of Buddhism in directly or indirectly ways.Thus, some scholar say that the Bon religion has become merely another sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
