Recently there are rumors and misleading information regarding Tibet Everest Base Camp closure being passed around social media sites as well as worldwide media, even the BBC News released news about it on February 16th titled with “China Closes its Everest Base Camp to Tourist”, and it said, “Authorities have resorted to the unusual move to deal with the mounting waste problems at the site. The announcement said according to the <<Nature Reserve Protection Regulation of the People’s Republic of China>>, the key protective regions beyond the Rongbuk monastery would be closed. In fact, the closure was only a distance of no more than 4 km towards Mt Everest and Rongbuk monastery is still very much within the region of Everest Base Camp.
