Tibetan Nomads;

Especially for travelers who are looking forward to get off the beaten track in Tibetan remote areas, there you will receive a great chance to visit a Nomadic family and their lifestyle. For Tibetan Nomads we call “Drogpa” and they are in Tibet’s vast and remote northern Horizon in plateau. The Nomadic tents are like a spider web, as there is the center and mainly build with a circular shape. These tents are built with Yak – hair with black color and brown but, you will rarely see the brown color of those tents. The Interior decoration of a nomad tent holds all the family’s possessions. There will be a stove for cooking in the middle, an altar for Buddhas inside and different local protectors. Including those of livestock and hearth. The principal diet of nomads are, Yak meat and Tsampa(roasted barley flour). The northern plateau, most of the nomads are staying together in a family, which helps them for looking after their cattle, like Yak, sheep and horses. Traditionally, Tibetan nomads have salt in trade for Tsampa, which for generations was collected from the North and also transported south in bricks, often to the border with Nepal, where it was traded for grain. In this modern age, there are around 6 hundred thousands of Tibetan Nomads across the plateau and there is also chances for reducing the nomadic people as, people like to stay in the town.
